    The West Jasper School District will have a “Traditional” opening for the 2020-2021 school year. Teachers will report for professional development on August 3-5, 2020. Students will report on Thursday, August 6, 2020 with exception of Kindergarten. Kindergarten will report Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

    Parents should note that reasonable safety measures based on CDC guidelines are being implemented to ensure student safety. Also, parents who do not wish their child to participate in a traditional school opening should contact their local school for alternative options. 

    The West Jasper Administration team has developed safety precautions which have been approved by the West Jasper School Board and are included below. Please contact your local school if you have any questions or concerns.

    West Jasper Attendance Policy for students who opt out and choose the virtual option

    Attendance for students being taught through the virtual option will be checked via the Learning Management System to ensure participation of 240 minutes per day are met . Students without access to internet who choose " hands on assignments " and packets will have attendance checked via telephone confirmation or electronic communication [ email ]
